What do I see in the home feed?
The home feed shows posts from your friends and people you follow. The feed is displayed chronologically. You can like, comment, and share posts.
How do I quickly scroll to the top?
Double-tap the Home icon in the bottom navigation bar. You'll instantly scroll back to the top of the feed.
What is the friend suggestion bar?
At the top of the home feed, you'll see friend suggestions based on mutual friends and interests. Tap on a profile to visit it.
What is the trending videos bar?
A horizontal bar with currently popular short videos (Virals) appears in the feed. Tap on a video to watch it in fullscreen mode.
What are business suggestions?
The feed shows business profiles you can follow. Business profiles regularly create content and have a public profile with an analytics dashboard.

Creating Posts & Stories

How do I create a post?
Tap the "+" icon in the bottom navigation. You can write text, add photos/videos, use hashtags, and tag your location. Speech-to-text helps with dictation.
What is speech-to-text?
When creating a post, tap the microphone icon to dictate your text instead of typing. The app automatically detects your language.
What are stories?
Stories are short-lived content (photos/videos) that automatically disappear after 24 hours. They are displayed at the top of the home feed.
Who can see my story?
With a private account, only your confirmed friends can see the story. With a public account, anyone can see it.
Who viewed my story?
Open your own story and swipe up. You'll see a list of everyone who viewed your story, sorted by time.

Chat & Messages

How do I start a chat?
Go to the Chat tab and tap the pencil icon (new chat). Search for a friend and start the conversation. You can also send a message directly from someone's profile.
What is end-to-end encryption (E2EE)?
All chats in Pashtun Hujra are automatically end-to-end encrypted (E2EE). This means only you and your chat partner can read the messages. Neither we as operators nor third parties have access. We use RSA key exchange and AES encryption.
What can I send in chat?
You can send text, photos, videos, voice messages, GIFs, location, and music. Everything is transmitted encrypted.
How do I send a voice message?
Hold down the microphone icon in the chat and speak. Release to send. Swipe left to cancel.
What is the music feature in chat?
Tap the music icon in chat to search for a song and share a 30-second preview. Your chat partner can play the song directly in the chat.
How do I reply to a message?
Swipe the message to the right to reply. The original message is shown as a quote above your reply.
How do I delete messages?
Long-press a message and choose "Delete for me" or "Delete for everyone". "Delete for everyone" removes the message for both chat partners.
How do I change the chat background?
Open a chat → tap the chat name at the top → "Change background". You can choose from colors, gradients, and images.

Privacy & Data Protection

What privacy settings are available?
Under Settings → Privacy you can control: Private/Public account, hide online status, read receipts, location visibility, message filter (who can message you), story visibility, and profile visibility.
What does "Private Account" mean?
With a private account, others must send a friend request before they can see your posts and stories. Your profile, name, and bio remain visible, but your content is protected.
Can I hide my online status?
Yes. Under Settings → Privacy → Online Status you can choose: "Visible to everyone", "Friends only", or "Hidden from everyone". If you hide your status, you also cannot see others' status.
Who can send me messages?
Under Settings → Privacy → Messages you can choose: "Everyone", "Friends only", or "Nobody". With "Friends only", messages from non-friends go to spam.
What data is stored about me?
We store only the essentials: profile data (name, bio, profile picture), your posts and interactions, and device tokens for push notifications. Chat messages are stored E2EE-encrypted — we cannot read them. Location data is only stored when you actively use the Map feature. You can request a complete copy of your data at any time under Settings → Export Data.
How do I report inappropriate content?
Tap the three dots (⋯) on a post, profile, or message and select "Report". Choose the reason and submit the report. Our team reviews every report within 24 hours.
Are my chats really secure?
Yes. Every chat uses RSA-2048 for key exchange and AES-256 for message encryption. Private keys never leave your device. Even in a server breach, attackers could not decrypt your messages.
What happens to my data when I delete my account?
When you delete your account, all your data is completely and irreversibly removed from our active systems within 90 days: profile, posts, stories, chat messages, media, coins, gifts, and location data. Backup copies may persist up to 90 days for technical reasons. Recovery is not possible after that.
How does Pashtun Hujra protect my location data?
Location data is only collected when you actively use the Social Map. Under Settings → Location you can choose: Precise location (for Map), Approximate location (city/region only), or Disable location completely. Your location is never shared without your consent.

How do I enable biometrics or PIN lock?
Go to Settings → Security → App Lock. You can enable Face ID/Touch ID or a 4-digit PIN. The app will be locked every time you open it.
How do I change my password?
Go to Settings → Security → Change Password. Enter your current password and confirm the new password twice.
How do I change the app language?
Go to Settings → Language. We support 29 languages. The change takes effect immediately.
How do I block or mute someone?
Open the person's profile → tap the three dots (⋯) → "Block" or "Mute". Blocked users cannot find you, send you messages, or see your content.
How do I export my data?
Under Settings → Privacy → Export Data. You'll receive a file with all your profile data, posts, comments, and media.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Account → Delete Account. You must confirm your password. The account is permanently deleted after a 90-day grace period. During this time, you can undo the deletion.
What is the content filter?
Under Settings → Content Filter you can choose what type of content you want to see. You can choose between "Strict" (family-friendly), "Standard", and "Off". Filtered content includes sensitive images, violence, and non-youth-appropriate text. Especially recommended for families and younger users.

Virals (Short Videos)

What are Virals?
Virals are vertical short videos (up to 60 seconds) in fullscreen format. Similar to Reels or TikTok. You scroll vertically through the feed and see one video at a time.
How do I create a Viral?
Tap "+" → "Create Viral". Record a video or choose from your gallery. Add music, text, filters, and effects. Write a description with hashtags.
What is the Boost?
The Boost is a special like. You can give a Viral a boost to increase its weight in the algorithm. Each user has limited boosts per day.
What are emoji reactions?
With Virals, besides the normal like, you can use emoji reactions. Long-press the heart icon to see a selection of emojis.

Hujra (Video Group Rooms)

What is a Hujra?
A Hujra is a video group room for up to 8 participants. Inspired by the Pashtun tradition of the Hujra — the community room. Use it for group calls, study groups, or just hanging out.
How do I create a Hujra?
Go to the Hujra tab → "Create new Hujra". Enter a name and invite friends via invitation link or directly.
What are invitations?
The creator of a Hujra can generate invitation links or invite friends directly. You can also join open Hujras without an invitation if the creator allows it.
What is the recordings archive?
Hujra sessions can be recorded (with consent of all participants). Recordings are stored in the archive and can be watched later.

How do I find other users?
Tap the search icon (magnifying glass) in the bottom navigation. You can search by display name or @username.
What are business profiles?
Business profiles are special public profiles for content creators and businesses. You can follow them without sending a friend request. Business profiles have access to an analytics dashboard with likes, views, comments, follower development, and daily statistics.
What is the hashtag feed?
When you tap a hashtag (#) in a post, a feed opens with all posts using that hashtag.

Social Map

What is the Social Map?
The Social Map shows you friends nearby on an interactive map. You see profile pictures on the map when friends share their location.
How do I share my location?
Go to the Map and enable "Share location". You can choose whether your precise or approximate location is shared.
Can everyone see my location?
No. Only your confirmed friends can see your location on the map, and only if you have sharing enabled.

Coins & Rewards

How do I earn coins?
You earn coins through many activities: Daily login (15 coins), creating a post (10), creating a Viral (20), writing a comment (10), posting a story (10), joining a challenge (20), friend request accepted (5), referring a friend (50), starting a live stream (30), creating a Hujra room (20), registration (25), and account verification (25). You also receive bonus coins for login streaks and milestones.
What can I do with coins?
Coins can be spent on: Viral Boost for 1 hour (150 coins), Post Highlight for 24 hours (90 coins), Live Stream Boost (300 coins), and virtual gifts to streamers and content creators (3–20,000 coins depending on gift type).
What is the login streak?
The login streak counts how many consecutive days you've opened the app. Starting from day 7, you receive 35 bonus coins; from day 30, you receive 200 bonus coins. The streak resets if you skip a day.
What are milestone rewards?
You receive bonus coins for milestones: 30 likes received (10 coins), 50 likes (20 coins), 100 likes (50 coins), 1,000 views (30 coins), new follower (5 coins).
How do I earn coins through ads?
You can voluntarily watch rewarded ads. For 3 watched ads, you receive 30 coins. A maximum of 3 ads per hour is possible. You can find the option in the Coins section of the app.
What is the Early Adopter bonus?
The first 200,000 registered users receive a one-time Early Adopter bonus of 2,000 coins as a thank you for their early support.

Profile & About Me

How do I edit my profile?
Go to your Profile tab → "Edit Profile". Change your name, bio, profile picture, cover image, and your about me section.
What is the about me section?
The about me section shows additional info like origin, tribe, birthplace, and interests. All fields are optional.
What is the profession entry?
You can display your profession on your profile. Go to Edit Profile → Profession. Choose from the list or enter your own.
How do friend requests work?
Visit a profile and tap "Add Friend". The person receives a notification and can accept or decline. With private accounts, a friendship is required to see content.

What are virtual gifts?
You can send virtual gifts to streamers and content creators during a live stream. Gifts are paid with coins and appear as animations in the stream. There are 23 different gift types — from Rose (3 coins) to Diamond (500 coins) to the exclusive Attan (20,000 coins).
How do I send a gift?
Tap the gift icon in a live stream. Choose a gift from the list and confirm. The coins will be automatically deducted from your balance.
What gifts are available?
Gifts range from simple (Rose 🌹 3 coins, Music 🎵 5 coins, Heart ❤️ 10 coins) to medium (Star ⭐ 50 coins, Diamond 💎 500 coins, Crown 👑 1,000 coins) to premium gifts (Eagle 🦅 5,000 coins, Attan 💃 20,000 coins). There are 23 different types in total.

Business Profiles

What is a Business Profile?
A Business Profile is a special public profile for content creators and businesses. Other users can follow you without sending a friend request. Your content is visible to everyone by default.
How do I create a Business Profile?
Go to Settings → Account → Switch to Business Profile. Your profile becomes public and you gain access to the analytics dashboard with statistics on likes, views, comments, follower development, and daily statistics.
Can I switch back to a normal profile?
Yes, you can switch back to a private profile at any time under Settings → Account. Your followers are preserved, but the analytics dashboard is deactivated.

Drafts & Blocking

What are drafts?
When you create a post or Viral but don't want to publish it yet, you can save it as a draft. Drafts are stored locally on your device and can be edited and published later.
How do I manage my blocked users?
Under Settings → Privacy → Blocked Users you can see a list of all blocked people. You can unblock users at any time. Blocked users cannot find you, send you messages, or see your content.
How can I export my data?
Under Settings → Privacy → Export Data you can request a complete copy of all your data (GDPR compliant). You receive a file with profile data, posts, comments, media, coins history, and gifts history.

What are challenges?
Challenges are community competitions on specific topics. Create a post or Viral on the challenge theme and get rated by the community.
How do I participate in a challenge?
Go to the Challenge tab, select an active challenge, and tap "Participate". Create your post and it automatically appears in the challenge feed.

Live Streaming

How do I start a live stream?
Tap "+" → "Go Live". Choose a title and start streaming. Your friends and followers will be notified.
How do I watch a live stream?
Active live streams are marked with a "LIVE" badge in the feed and profile. Tap on it to join. You can comment and react live.
